In a perfect world, hunger would be history and hope would be commonplace. We believe a perfect world is possible.

In 2020, Subaru and its retailers made a donation to Feeding America to provide 50 million meals to help feed people in need during the COVID-19 crisis,* making meals available at 199 local food banks across the country.

*$1 helps provide at least 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks.

St. John’s of Lattingtown 70th Annual Country Fair

Thanks in large part to North Coast Subaru and other sponsors, The St. John’s Country Fair celebrated its Platinum Jubilee in September. Despite the rain, the community came out and hunkered down in the church to shop antiques, or did some tent hopping on the lawn to do crafts, decorate pumpkins, shop vendors and eat at the Cafe. We are so grateful for North Coast Subaru’s loyalty and support for the third year in a row! Many of our outreach programs in and around Glen Cove have benefitted from their support of this event. Thank you Chris and the whole team!

Subaru Loves Pets 2023-North Shore Animal League America

North Shore Animal League America, the world's largest no-kill rescue and adoption organization, hosted an adoption event for Subaru Loves Pets in partnership with North Coast Subaru. The event in October was held at their dealership in Glen Cove with our 40-foot mobile unit filled with adoptable puppies and dogs all looking for their forever homes. Animal League America has weekly rescues from across the country bringing adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens to campus where they are evaluated by our medical team and behavioral staff before available for adoption. North Coast Subaru helped these homeless pets find their perfect, loving homes. We say when you adopt, you are saving two lives-the one you take home and the second one that is put in their place. Through the dedication of the team at North Coast Subaru and thanks to the hard work of their General Manager, Chris Bahamonde, we were able to make our lifesaving work possible and find homes for our homeless pets. We're grateful for supporters like North Coast Subaru and we thank them for another successful year. Subaru is helping us rescue and find homes for as many homeless animals as possible. We are so appreciative of their continued support and partnership.

North Shore Animal League America with North Coast Subaru for Share the Love

Through our partnership with North Coast Subaru, we at North Shore Animal League America hosted an adoption event for Subaru Loves Pets during the month of October at their dealership in Glen Cove. During one of the most destructive storms in Florida’s history with Hurricane Ian, North Shore Animal League America brought up from Florida a number of pets to our Port Washington campus and were able to get adopted homeless pets to forever loving homes. Our mobile unit was able to bring up animals already in the shelters to make room for displaced animals in emergency situations. North Coast Subaru helped these homeless pets find their perfect, loving homes. Through the dedication of the team at North Coast Subaru and thanks to the hard work of their General Manager, Chris Bahamonde, we were able to make our lifesaving work possible and find homes for homeless pets. We’re grateful for supporters like Subaru” says Joanne Yohannan, Senior Vice President of Operations, North Shore Animal League America. “Through their generosity, Animal League America is able to continue our mission to save thousands of animals’ lives through our rescue and adoption efforts.”

Perlmutter Cancer Center at NYU Langone Hospital Long Island

We would like to extend our most heartfelt thanks to North Coast Subaru for their generous donation of blankets to our infusion center in Mineola, as part of the Subaru Loves to Care program. This was an extremely well timed donation as we will be able to provide the blankets to our patients right as we approach the colder months. North Coast Subaru went well out of their way to make sure the delivery took place at a convenient time for us, and they have proven themselves to be much more than a business, they are a community partner.

We are very proud and thankful to partner with North Coast Subaru in their “Subaru Loves Pets” Campaign for a second year in a row. Operating since 1944, North Shore Animal League America has saved over 1.1 million animals. Each year we find loving, responsible homes for roughly 18,000 animals. Our Humane Relocation Program deploys mobile rescue units, or virtual shelters on wheels, throughout the country to transport animals from high-kill municipal shelters to the safety of Animal League America. In its history, this incredible program has transported more than 150,000 dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens to the North Shore Animal League America’s Port Washington campus. A special thanks to North Coast Subaru for hosting our recent adoption event at their Glen Cove Dealership this October and helping families find homeless animals permanent homes. Also a big thanks to Chris Bahamonde and his team at North Coast Subaru for their generous support. We had a wonderful day bringing 13 dogs and puppies many from Louisiana and Texas, ravaged by Hurricane Ida. Customers lined up before the mobile unit officially opened. It was an emotional day for many and happy tears to those families that adopted. So we hope you will consider North Shore Animal League America when purchasing at North Coast Subaru. Together we can help animal rescues find their way to loving forever homes.
